That’s wild. I can’t believe stuff like this gets past Amazon.

Reasons why I don’t buy from Amazon anymore, it has to be Directly from Amazon, I no longer go through thirdparty seller or use the market place, same for Newegg.

If you have one near you, buy from Microcenter.

It’s already ready for water cooling fantastic no ?

  7. Lube_Ur_Mom

Was it directly sold/fulfilled by Amazon or was it sold by a third party?

It’s absolutely wild that this could happen especially in a product this expensive. There’s been quite a few of these posts lately too.

I’ve used Amazon for like 10 years and never seen this personally… Including building a couple PCs. It seems like it would save Amazon so much money to inspect returns over a certain value. Maybe they are just so rich that they don’t care.

This is why you don’t buy expensive pieces through Scamazon. Now you have to explain why you’re returning a $1500 gpu that has a 2080 pcb in it

You idiots still buy from amazon anything else than deodorant.

Good luck with your Amazon return. It took them 4 months to refund me my defective $67 USB hub.

I thought about buying from Amazon, instead I went to my local computer store. Bought it, opened it and checked it and took it home. Gives me peace of mind that everything is going to be good.

I see Nvidia found a new costcut..

I don’t buy high value items from Amazon anymore. I’m tired of ordering things advertised as new and receiving products that have clearly been sent to another customer, man-handled, and returned. As soon as a product is delivered to a customer it should be designated an open-box item regardless of what the customer reported doing with it when they initiated the return. Customers lie, as do the Amazon warehouse workers who process returns.

is it really cheaper for amazon to just not give a shit about this problem then it is to have a better inspection process for high value items?

Stop ordering from Amazon, they treat you like a scammer now when you order something and it comes in like this. My situation I had was that I ordered a 5800x3d and got a 7800x3d which was awesome but I didn’t have the motherboard or ram for the CPU’s so I returned it and asked if they could just ship me the 5800x3d and they refused and told me to do a refund and a return which would take 30-60 days and it ended up being closer to 60.

Why would anyone wanna support them now since they can’t even honor their own fuck ups. They really wanted me to drop another ~$300 to buy another one and wait on the return of the other which would cost me 600 during that time until a refund came back. Mine was shipped and sold by Amazon btw. Crazy part is that they wouldn’t let me just keep the wrong sent item.

  16. I bought a pc from Amazon with a rtx 4090 this week. Arrived on Thursday with the rtx 4090 missing. Amazon will refund 2-4 weeks after they receive the return. I was upset. 😠

Scams like this are common on Amazon these days with expensive tech, they have really gone downhill, a person ordered a cpu got an empty box, someone else ordered ddr5 ram got ddr4

When will people learn not to buy expensive hardware on Amazon?

  19. tht1guy63

When will people stop buying gpus off amazon… another to the list.
