You think its cool because its conpletly different from our reality, but if youd actualy life in it it be just buisness as usual

And then you go outside and immediately get strangled by a Monowire.

The you rush to your 12h a day Job that barely earns you a livinng. Before you get tackled and shot in the head by a ncpd Officer who confused you with a criminal.

Cool? This is nightmare fuel. A city where the poorest of the poor live on the streets, surrounded by 2000 foot tall skyecrapers, riddled with crime and corruption.

You’re always at risk of getting offed by some desperate soul looking to make it another day.

Waking up every morning to my nightmare scenario, where capitalism has cast off the sham of the state, and have seized direct control. Where wars are waged over profits (not that that’s any different in our world) where corruption and crime are normalized, homelessness is rampant and ubiquitous, all public services are privatized so trash piles up in every corner because it’s not profitable to clean it up, where a desperate or bored person might kill you for stepping out your front door. Sorry, but Night City is a dystopian hellscape, not a place where you feel hopeful waking up there, no matter how nice the vistas.

The air is oppressive the busier the city, why would I want to essentially feel like I’m dying from cancer by living there? Sights can be amazing but the atmosphere, the smell, the sounds… oh god, trying to sleep would be impossible with all the lights, crime, etc

Probably it’s because we don’t actually live in a setting like this, but think it’d be a bit overwhelming in all honesty

I don’t think I want to live there, what an awful place.
