Well, working on Witcher 4 shouldn’t stop em from developing a Cyberpunk sequel since they’ve expanded a lot and are moving into producing several games at the same time. Cyberpunk sequal is on the new Boston branch as far as I’m aware

When it’s ready.

2030 seems reachable, but I’d say it’s difficult to say with any certitude before, at least, the launch of TW4. Because I guess they will work more seriously on it at that moment.
It’s frustrating to realise how long dev time can be nowadays. When I realise how old I’ll be when the next game launches, at best, it’s a bit sad 💀

Didnt they say they arent making a sequel. Cyberpunk is a 1 and done

If they are smart, they won’t announce a potential release window until the game is practically done. The pushed back the original release date dozens of time which was the initial cause of all the drama.
sorenman357
mid-late 2030s probably. sounds far away but we’re already nearly halfway through the 2020s.
ShearAhr
2032. I’d expect them to work on Witcher for another 3 to 4 years which will then place us into 2028 and then four more years for cyberpunk.
The_Prodigy_702
I say around 2040 ish
bobthegoblinkiller
My man, give it time. Let it’s release be good
The_Reignhold
Another studio is making it so around 2030 seems reasonable.

Probably 2028-2029

There’s currently 40 odd people working on it and over 400 on the next Witcher game. We got a while to go
station1984
I’ll wait ten years if they can give us something perfect and enormous. Different side quests for all life paths. Multiple endings depending on life paths. Different playstyles to unlock new dialogue options. Be like Baldur’s Gate 3 in replay value. Those cutscenes they deleted from the original E3 trailer. If they can give us the fulfilled version, heck, let’s wait 15 years. I waited 20 years for a good Dune adaptation and it was everything I wanted.

We’ve got a while to go. Given how CP2077’s launch went I think CDPR is going to be *very* careful with the Witcher 4 release. I wouldn’t be surprised if Witcher 4 came out with the launch of the next console gen (so 2028) and Orion came out mid gen, so ~2032.

My bet would be 2030.

You mean I have to live for another 6 years?!
metalcore4ver
I doubt will have to wait that long

I’ll be 31 by that time but I feel like I could wait

The longer the better, give em time to cook. No more of this I cant wait for an unfinished game bullshit, just wait.

2030? Haha, not gonna happen m8. 2035 is the earliest and very optimistic

CDPR’s issue in development was just figuring things out.
Johnny was originally going to be someone else instead of Keanu, and they pretty much had to remake the game with the bio chip plot added to it.
Because we’ve seen the concept art of proto-Johnny, and Keanu wasn’t announced until like 3 or 4 years into development

I can see why it took a decade. They created a world that truly feels alive. Maybe just don’t say shit …guess that’s the rockstar approach
Moth_Witch45
They’re making a sequel?

2029 – 2031 is my best bet. New engine, new code, it’s going to take a long while. Maybe more than Rockstar with GTA6

2027 I think. This time will be a lot faster since they have a lot of stuff to work with that they can just improve upon, rather than working on it from scratch. Cyberpunk came out in 2020, so 7 years should be enough time for a sequel I think.
HolyOey
They added on a dectated team for just cyberpunk so in theroy they are working on it now

See how long it takes them to get Witcher 4 out. Then we can use our hive mind to figure it out. There are different teams working on both games simultaneously, but I don’t see cyberpunk sequel entering production phase until after Witcher 4. I’m hoping we will see something more on that at Gamescom.

I’d say more like 2035
CyberPunk was released in 2020
It was announced in 2012
The game wasn’t ‘finished’ until 2024
You have at least a decade to wait
