I’ve been replaying lately and the atmosphere blows me away. It’s not just good call of duty zombies, I think it’s one of the best level designs ever.
Both the design and layout of the architecture perfectly blends 1920s America with Cthulu, the lighting and colour is the best we’ve seen in the franchise, such as the pinks of the burlesque.
It was the small things that made it so special back then. The background music, the lore affecting what you see around you, and how progression ties to lore (beast mode).
