I own GTA IV on PC. But the launcher wont open anymore and I was working on it for 3 days before I finally decided to sail the seas. Fucking trash. Idk how Im going to play GTA 6 when it (if it) comes to PC.
i would love to replay GTA4 on steam but the amount of hoops you have to jump thru just isn’t worth it

I still have somewhere the copies of SA and Vice City I pirated when I was a kid lmao. Nothing like just double clicking the icon and get to play, with zero bullshit.
It’s why I bought the PC DVD version.
Legit can’t stand the Rockstar launcher. I close it down in the background and the game goes with it. DVD version runs flawlessly offline with no issues.

Rockstar games launcher is the most broken launcher out there. Annoying af.
Rockstar doesn’t get enough hate for the bullshit they do. Not only stuff like this, but their blatantly pay to win online mode where you can buy in-game cash.
And even if you buy their games through Steam, you have to install their launcher. It launches from Steam into their shitty R* launcher, and then into the game, Ubisoft style.
Between their dogshit launcher and late pc releases, I always “Jack Sparrow” their stuff, no way am I paying full price for a year old game on the worst launcher yet conceived (maybe besides ubisofts)

R* is an amazing company when it comes to make games.
Absolute shitshow when it comes to DRM. Funnily enough, all the efforts they do to prevent piracy is just endup hurting decent players and giving them a boat to sail away
