I mean I probably trust him more than the 10-20 hour reviews
I loved Total War Rome 2 and have hundreds of hours but it was an unoptimized mess

LOL
What game? I can’t imagine sinking 3400 hours into ANY game, much less a game I didn’t particularly care for

I have one or two games like that. Usually a ton of hours are spent in the early access development stage, with promises of a fully developed game on release. But when it does it is a miss.

The reality is that they don’t actually hate the game, they hate themselves for liking it.
They think by acting like they dislike it, they can turn it into reality and stop playing.
It’s all projection.

Tell someone game is bad, they tell you how would you know if you’ve never played it.
Tell someone game is bad and play it, they tell you, you rushed it and didnt bother to experience it.
Tell someone game is bad and have way more hours in it than them, they tell you why you’re playing it.
All so tiresome.

If anyone has the rights to say the game “does not get better” I think it is the guy with 3k hours!
Coffee_Soup
I never understood why people point this out like it’s a bad thing.
“Smoker points out smoking is bad, still smokes 2 packs a day” It’s the same thing. Addicts can know what they do is bad, but it’s addicting for a reason. Games are a prime setup for it. CoD, FIFA, Destiny, Rocket League, LoL, Smite, DOTA, Valorant, Fornite, etc. Those are the big ones, but other games have the effect as well. What 3,000 hours, a bad review, followed by 500 more hours tells me is this game has a core that could be wonderful but man is the community, devs, and/or balance shit.

Idk why people thinks this is some kind of absurd. When someone has thousands of hours in a game is probably a game as a service. If the service becomes terrible, they go and change the review. I know I did that already, Paladins is a very fun game and got 800hours from me, but the tech support is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. They even went and deleted all my inventory when I asked them to put me back into my first account. Changing the review to negative is the least they deserve.

I don’t see the issue. When a crackhead tells you not to do crack you should listen to them.

The crack addict on the street telling you not to do crack
OP: Well, he wouldn’t keep doing crack if he didn’t like it… This asshole is just trying to keep all the sweet sweet crack for himself!
somuchdirt74
There could easily be various legit reasons behind it. Common for games to change over time. Plus people can be addicted to crappy things.
Also not a fan of bashing reviews mentality that people seem to do these days. Cause it’s always “you don’t have many hours so you didn’t give the game a real shot” or “you have so many hours you got your moneys worth.” F that

Just because I personally find some enjoyment in a trash game doesn’t mean I believe it’s worthy of a recommendation to others

Games can be a bit like drugs. Somewhere early on, you hit that perfect high. It’s incredible. You keep pursuing that feeling, but you never quite get there again. And the pursuit becomes a part of your life. You no longer do it because you like it, you do it because you are unable to imagine doing something else.
You want to break free. You can stop for a short time, but a moment of boredom or low self control sees you start again. You honestly tell people to stay away, desperately wishing you could do so yourself.
And if none of this makes sense, because you don’t understand addiction… I hope it never makes sense, and you never understand.

My friends have no clue why I still play the game if all I do is talk crap about it.
It’s cause I’m in too deep and I’m not the only one.
