That’s a hell of an upgrade. I had the 4770 and upped to 3700x, and then as a last hurrah for my current setup got the 5800x3d

I upgraded from a 2600k to a 12700 and it was a huge upgrade for me still waiting to replace my 1080ti though unsure if I should wait or buy something used

It’s funny that the 4770 doesn’t feel that old, but man is it OLD. Somewhere between the Intel 4-core stagnation and covid we jumped CPU performance by several orders of magnitude and now here we are.

Definitely leaves you with plenty of headroom for future GPU upgrades without bottlenecks on your CPU. One of the reasons I went with 5900X when it released was to be sure I could last 3 or 4 gens of GPU upgrades without needing to upgrade the CPU and Motherboard.

Congrats! People underestimate how much a CPU upgrade helps in gaming.

Yeah, going from a $315 CPU from early 2013 to a $700 CPU from late 2022 kinda tends to do that (Not to mention this would require a whole new motherboard, newer and faster RAM, gives you PCIe 5.0 over 3.0, etc.)
Notice how it barely made a dent in your graphics score though, the massive increase in your benchmark score is almost completely from the CPU side. You likely would have seen a much bigger impact on your graphics score too if you are running a lower-end/resolution benchmark. A better CPU isn’t going to make as much of an impact if the benchmark is already maxing out your GPU.
Case in point here are benchmarks between a 6th gen Xeon with a 2060 Super, and a 11th gen i7 with an older GTX 1070. The 2060S pulls ahead in the higher resolution/more demanding benchmarks, but the 11th gen pulls ahead on the lower res/weaker benchmarks: https://imgur.com/a/8n5OtYs
