The 12GB on the 4070 Super is not great, but the 8GB on the 4060 gotta be planned obsolescence.

I mean with latest driver update 7900GRE with some overcklock is just 10% slower than 7900XT, so if you like to play games with outdated graphics (rasteresation), it’s perfect buy.

But personally I would never choosed GPU with such weak RT capabilities, and such crap upscaling. So it all comes down to what games you going to play.

That’s the best visual analogy of Nvidia I’ve ever seen

7900 GRE and 4070 Super trade with each other. OC helps the 7900 GRE more than the 4070 Super and 7900 GRE has more VRAM (16GB) than the 4070 Super (12GB). Rasterise games will perform better on a 7900 GRE than the 4070 Super. But in RT games, 4070 Super all the way, and you get access to DLSS and Frame Gen.

HUB just made a video about memory OC on the 7900GRE which puts it firmly ahead of the 4070Super in raster and makes it compete with the 4070Ti Super in some scenarios. coupled with the lower price and higher Vram it’s the better card except if you plan on using High RT with lower texture settings in some games or need Cuda/Efficiency specifically.

    VRAM vs. Ray tracing

    I pick VRAM(7900 GRE).
