I don’t think that’s true entirely but big companies tend to that because of profit and that’s why industry is slow dying, because of greed

How people are forced into crunch and even with it cant even afford their bills or put food on the table.
A lot less privileged people have been forced into crunch and crickets as a response to their suffering.
