    It’s like this at every Target I go to, but surprisingly, none of the Walmarts in my area have had the keycaps taken off

    If I ever did this and got caught I would be slapped so hard that I would fly out of the store and end up in the parking lot in front of it.

    Well coolermaster took about 2 months to send me a cherry mx keycap that broke. I also had to resolder the switch. They told me to return it but i bought it from frys and it was about 5 hours away. So i would have used it as a donor. Im not sure what people do with these caps.

    Not justifying it, but with cheap ABS caps on these keyboards, people will take the free replacement to their shiny, peeled off key caps at home.

    I usually pull one off to see what switch it is but I put it back on

    It’s only acceptable if you’re a blindfolded speedrunner and take off certain keycaps so that you only have keys you need
