Personally dead of the night because it has much more side content. Ancient evil really only has the main quest, but it’s still a really good map (fuck the solo Ra step though)

i will always love Dead of the Night simply because we- the Zombies Community essentially bullied Treyarch into releasing the Map. It was the proudest moment I’ve felt being a part of this community and I wish we all unanimously stood up and against Treyarch more often against stuff like MWZ

If I’m going to play one and those are my only options, it’s Ancient Evil every time, but not because DOTN is a bad map. The biggest thing wrong with DOTN is that the clipping on it is broken and I get stuck on random tables and crap all the time it’s a shame they never fixed that.

AE is one of my favorit maps ever! So Ancient Evil it is… allthough Dotn is really good aswell! Bo4 in general is underated and overhated

I find DOTN more fun to play casually, with awesome ghost, vampire and werewolf designs, and I slightly prefer its gauntlet. Its setting is one of the best in Zombies history, but so are all of the Chaos maps, so it doesn’t give much of an edge against AE.
AE has a cooler shield, a greater variety of WWs with awesome designs/lore behind them, and also has a better EE in terms of both gameplay and story.
When I’m in the mood for AE, it’s up there with the best maps ever, but I’ll never not be in the mood for DOTN.

I hated DOTD several years ago. Came back to it this year, really learned the map, and now it’s an A tier map for me.
Ancient evil has a better quest story considering it was at the end and it has a better boss fight. But I got so much enjoyment playing and trying to speed run through DOTN so that’s the winner for me.
