People hate River because he’s a cop, even if he’s one of the only good cops left in Night City. They also like to claim he’s a creep but it’s not that at all. His romance, much like Kerry’s, was treated as an afterthought with how late it happens in-game so it seems like he’s trying to rush into things and is being ‘pushy’, when in reality his romance was not given the amount of buildup that Panam and Judy’s romances were. Same with Kerry unfortunately. The male love interests were done dirty.

Personally I don’t despise River because of his profession or anything. It’s simply that his charming personality strikes me as a bit well, immature. And that cybernetic eye? Not exactly my cup of tea. But hey, if I had to choose between him and Judy, I guess I’d reluctantly pick him.

Prolly cuz of how fucked up his questline is, and the fact that said questline is the only time he really has to make advances and shit. My biggest issue with him is how he’s supposed to be this god tier cop but he comes across as so…idk green I guess. Plus his outfit makes me wanna claw my eyes out.

He’s not as bad as people make him out to be honestly when you look at it from his POV this merc woman came into his life helped save his nephew and set him on the right track to improving his life and his family’s so it make sense for him to fall in love with you .I just think he needed one or two more quests cause his storyline is kinda underdeveloped
