Rise of Nations, everyone seems to be talking about Age of Empires or Empire Earth, it’s very rare to see Rise of Nations mentioned even though I enjoyed it more than AoE lol
even *more rare* to see Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends mentioned in the wild

Completely agree. One of the best movie tie-in games ever made IMO. I have played it through 3 times over the years. Performance is excellent and scales well. Graphics are also excellent for the time. Story is great. Vehicle combat is fun. Driving is fun. Combat moves are a bit basic but satisfying. Really enjoy the suplex and shiv. Love the atmosphere of the game too. Especially underground sections.
Hope there is a game for the upcoming installment to the series that is as good as this one is.

Ugh. I am guilty. I bought it on sale and only ever played a couple times.

This game was an absolute gem. 3 play thoroughs and I enjoyed all of it.
DisMeDog
The Warriors for PS2. I think people who played it loved it but it is still mostly forgotten.

Well, all the older games get ignored by gamers that are just getting in and want to play the latest and greatest. Like… There are 25 years worth of 3D games out and everyone just talks about, when is spooderman 3 coming out???
Even people who have modern iGPUs on laptops can play games from ps3 era and backwards just fine. But they think they need a GPU and a thousand dollar pc to have a good time.

I have a friend who refused to try this and Days Gone. Huge loss on his part. Both amazing games.
StalkerX800
Back when I played this game, I got surprised by how good of an adaption of a movie plot this game was, I wasn’t expecting that solid of a single player experience but sadly this game was kinda ignored at release since big monsters were releasing at that time
SerExcelsior
Obligatory Titanfall 2 mention here. Another great game that was squashed by the huge releases around it at the time.
I’ll also mention Day’s Gone. What was once a PS exclusive didn’t receive a lot of love at its initial release. But after playing the game when it finally came to PC I have to say that it’s so good. Slow to start, but so good!

Mad Max is probably the best 7/ 10 game out there. Not saying that in a bad way, I’ve never had a bad time playing it and will always recommend it but it doesn’t leave a lasting impression other than “that was fun.” Sometimes that’s all a game needs to be and was clearly what the devs were going for.
FlashyEarth8374
it gets some due but; Sleeping Dogs
CuteDaisyPinkDress
Men of War.
MortgageAdventurous8
This is my absolutle favorite game.

Mad max was ignored because it released the same time as mgsv.
Fantafans69
The godfather ps2 game. More details than any gta, even than san andreas.
AppyUppal
I absolutely love Observer: System Redux and recommend it all the time.

This is probably cliche as fuck, but Half-Life. It’s recognized as like one of the GOATs of gaming and yet I know a lot more who have never played it or heard of it than those who have.
And like… to my old millennial ass that’s a crime! HL and the mod community around it did so much for gaming. I mean, Counter-Strike alone is a testament to HL and its community back then.
Temporary_Hospital17
Might be wrong but Infamous Second Son.
I’ve found very few people of this fandom, and even fewer who enjoy this game in particular, rather than the Cole games

Just Cause 3. Once you get the jet pack, you’re basically Iron Man.
