You can get him back easy by using the other option about him “showing” as more code. He snaps quicker than a cherry blossom branch in winter.

What always got me is that Goro makes up and starts using a code, then expects V to just know it. If it is that easy to figure out, it’s a bad code. Otherwise, V needs a decryption key. I would have loved an option to tell Goro this, at the very least in the Corpo path.
