That’s pretty silly but Capcom has been doing this for awhile, and it’s not ALL bad.
They sell stuff that is either super unnecessary (DMC orbs, sf6 avatar costumes) or easy to get in game for free. It seems like it’s so they can say ‘hey look, we included those predatory monetizations you demanded!’ Without screwing over the players.
I don’t own the game so I don’t know … and there really shouldn’t be anti-cheat.. but if there is no anti-cheat its a dumb person tax because you should just be able to use cheat engine to just give yourself an infinite amount of them anyway.
Huh… I’ll just wait till it’s on GoG lol. No MT’s, No DRM, and maybe some Moddability

I was on the fence about this game, this made the decision for me – Thank fuck for not preordering.
As much as I love Capcom games, their monetization of stuff from DMC5, SF6, this, etc., is always shit (at least it’s something I can ignore for DD2 but still, lame).

don’t get me wrong, the first game was good even though I wasn’t a fan of it
but apparently the 2nd title is more of the same, including some of the stuff that should have been changed/removed
but fans of the series will forgive and say anything to defend this kind of stuff
