Putting the roleplay back in the RPG was a huge reason for Cyberpunk 2077’s recent metro and romance updates, says associate game director: ‘It’s easy to overlook’

Fully approve this kind of decisions in CP77. I mean, the Immersive drinking (in the bar) mod exists for a reason. And i expect to see the devs to expand on roleplaying/immersion stuff in the sequel as well, even if it will be completely optional

I mean I totally understand and I’m happy they’re putting some effort into that stuff, but my brother in Christ I don’t want to have the same conversation with Panam over and over again in my apartment.

I wouldnt mind some extra patches to let this game reach a 8-8,5 out of 10.

not what they promised to us anyway. Im sad because i wanted this to be amazing.

Love that they see the value of what may seem like unnecessary rp stuff. You can tell when they switched gears after launch. Early on with adding more apartments first, then now changing how we buy cars on a website, drinking at bars, riding the metro. It adds to the world and feels immersive.

The beginning of this games existence was rough but I’m glad they kept at it and pulled through. It’s a truly great game and even though some things could have been improved more or added in, that just makes me more excited for the sequel. Hope we don’t have to wait a billion years for it but hopefully it’s worth it when it does hit our hands.

    😂😂

Don’t get me wrong, I loved them a couple times and they are great. It’s just something I chuckle at real time. But it’s nice to never “sleep alone” in the game.

I like that they added the hangouts, but it was done half-assedly. I know it would have been a challenge with ALL the VAs for each love interest, but a few new dialogue options would have been better…an extra romance scene would have been nice as well.

I’ll be honest, I tried the metro once and that was enough to never use it again. It’s not even particularly immersive as you can’t do anything on the metro. It’s a glorified loading screen in practice.

The metro update alone has made Night City feel so much more vibrant for me! I am glad there’s still a developer out there that focuses on those immersive, “easy to overlook” things
