2 years ago, I straightened the bent pins on my (then) new 3900X when I wanted to replace the Prism cooler and the CPU came off with it. My wife saw me swearing and panicking, took a look at the pins, and brought a mechanical pencil. After seeing my PC boot again, I sighed the biggest of all reliefs

Using this for bending pins is phenomenal.
nice life hack although small flat screw driver do the job to with enough patience 😛
very nice.
This is a genius move, hope you treated her with some of the money you saved 😀

She certainly ensured you won’t ever even have a thought of cheating, even if it was Kate Beckinsale herself asking you to come over.
Wife’s a savior and a keeper.
I’ll used a toothpick lol
I used a ruler. Could perfectly line them all up. and no obstructed vision of the pin itself.
This is how we straightened 22 awg pins on aircraft as well. The plugs have 128 or more of these and they’re easily bent during installation if they’re anything less than perfectly straight. A pencil that uses .7 mm lead is indispensable.
You are a absolute genius. I never would have had that idea
Divorce and remarry her
This is a really good idea! Most people use a razor blade, I’ve even told people to do that, and that works pretty well, but this is genius!
Thanks for the tip! Congrats too
That’s a great idea.

You’re still with her right? I mean wow, what a keeper. “You saved my PC. My heart is yours forever.”
My partner has also come to my rescue when I get flustered dealing with my pc. We’re lucky lads
