Why have people been saying constantly? The game didn’t end on a cliffhanger or sequel bait… it was a complete game

I wanted to play this but my controller’s camera just keeps spinning in a circle making it unplayable (on pc with DS4)
The M+KB controls felt super weird to me so wanted to use controller instead
I bought it a few weeks ago since watching a few videos that rave about it and I am enjoying it on my steamdeck. Intro and few missions has been good and hopefully gets even better after a few hours in. 😀
It wasn’t a perfect game, it had a lot of things that a sequel could improve on. But man was it a palate cleanser from the true crime series it originated from (and i liked the true crime series for the most part).

It’s fine. Not everything needs a sequel and it was more or less fully realized and self contained.

Sleeping Dogs 2 was actually far along in development, but then cancelled because Square Enix chose to not move forward with it. And a few years later the developer (United Front Games) closed down. So we’ll never get a sequel.
Shame, it was such a fun game. Really cool vibe and setting.

So I’ve played through it and all the DLC probably five times over the last 10 or so years. But I actually bought the games radio soundtrack, track for track off of Amazon music and made my own playlist of all the games radio stations.
Definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played and one of the greatest investments in money for storytelling and action and fun you can get.
I would love another game in a similar genre from the exact same development team.
I really liked this, then I played the Yakuza games and they are so much better, now this is a game I enjoy but wouldn’t rate that highly

I beat this game 3 times. That’s how much I liked it.
Really loved this game, it’s like the Yakuza and GTA series had a bastard child. The focus later game on shooting gameplay was a bit of a letdown but overall it was great.
It’s the third in the series. And why do you think we will never get a sequel? It can always be picked up again.

Remake, remaster, or spiritual successor. We really should normalize letting games be a one and done. Cause Sleeping Dogs is a complete game. No sequel bait at the end and the story wraps up nicely. It told its story.

I bought this to get the TF2 items it came with, was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it.
Plus trading away all those genuines was enough to kit out every class with stranges, so win/win

The only think I’m bitter about is Donnie Yen was supposed to make a movie based on the game that seems is never gonna happen. Although I think he’s too old to be the lead actor of the movie.
