Sounds like it’s in a better state than PS5 with it’s 15fps drops
Dry_Ass_P-word
I say this way too often but I wonder why devs don’t do “early access” for the first couple months on pc to iron this stuff out in situations like this.
Manlypumpkins
Every time a game is released on PC it has poor performer. Do they just test games on the most ridiculous build ever?
Thecheckmate
Just bought the first for 5$
I would wait
Pigeonman117
Im ok with this, gives me time to play the first one. I wasn’t gonna be paying 70$ regardless. I think thats the bigger insult is how prices have gone up but quality control has not.
Prestigious-Vater
No surprise. When they said it runs at 30FPS on Consoles I knew the PC Version wouldn’t be great.
Golurkcanfly
For people who aren’t in the know, the performance issues come from a heavy CPU load due to the way NPCs are programmed, not a GPU load.
The issues mainly arise in heavily populated areas, not the typical gameplay environments.
ACorania
I mean, it comes out in two days. Let’s just wait and see what the early adopters say when they get it. No need to be reactionary about and no need to buy it now… just be patient with any conclusions.
NotARobotInHumanSuit
This is exactly why you never preorder
WhiteHawk77
Console 30FPS only, I’m so surprised the PC version is running poorly. /s
BrahnBrahl
People just shouldn’t buy the game until it’s clear that it actually works. Gaming companies need to stop getting away with releasing broken products.
jntjr2005
Yeah I am not getting this game even if it’s an 11/10 , if it runs like shit it has an effect on the overall experience for me.
burnskull55
now I really really want to get my hands on this game. using a 4090 and going from ultra 4k to low 1080p only producing a 6fps difference seems a bit insane to me.
rmpumper
Better performance at 1440p than 1080p according to PCGamer tests. Fantastic.

I’ve waited 12 years for this game, not going to stop me from getting it Friday. I was torn between PC and PS5 but ultimately I’m going PS5 so I don’t need to move my PC to my TV. From the reviews I’ve seen, it does dip below 30 fps in major cities but in general it stays around 30 fps in the actual meat of the game. 30 fps does kind of suck however DD combat was never fast paced and 30 fps was always fine for this style in my opinion. To each there own but all the reviews I’ve seen say it’s like the original but better and that’s all I asked for.
ItsSevii
I’ll buy it in a year when it’s on steam sale and runs great
AdmiralOink4
Literally just wait for patches like cyberpunk77 or lords of the fallen.
DatzSiiK
Even though a lot of post have been hyping the fk out of this game, I’m not purchasing this game after established reviews have been out. my ass got handed to me with terrible launches like StarField, 2077, no man sky and anthem. My stupid ass preordered all of these games too, NEVER AGAIN.
Sean8734
Luke Stephens just uploaded and was getting 100 fps in the open world but when he entered cities it would drop to 20-30 fps. NPCs will fade into existence right in front of you.
Rivale
From what i’ve seen from a bunch of sites checking out the performance, it’s about the same as any other recent AAA game. it’s halfway through the PS5/XSX life cycle this is what the performance is going to be.
throwacc_21
Hopefully they fix it quickly like Larian studio did. It sounds like a great games with performance issue
Mobius650
It’s the Enigma DRM. The DRM with the biggest performance impact ever and is made by a scummy Indian tech company.

Is the story as bad as the first game ? That game had no story. Capcom excels at creating interesting characters/villains/enemy design which made the first game look a bit enticing. It seems a bit like this is just more of that.
Rizenstrom
Are people really surprised?
As soon as I find out a game targets 30 fps on console it’s instantly out for me. I know it’s going to be an unoptimized mess on PC. Every. Single. Time.
Exaccus_
It has denuvo, of course its going to have performance issues
whatsurissuebro
Runs good in open world, FPS dips NEAR SETTLEMENTS? I was actually worried about combat performance not cities and towns lol.
Probably because all the Npc textures are like 4-8K? I had a similar performance dip playing STALKER Anomaly, the NPC’s, their AI, and also particularly when I used modded models with 4k textures made a very apparent stutter going near encampments and settlements.
PriorFudge928
This is the new norm. It will not change and only get worse. They will publishing unfinished games knowing that the financial harm is less than the cost of extended production.
This is our fault collectively. They get away with it because the consumer allows it.
Attacuss
I never play games on release anymore I usually give it a month now. Don’t like playing a glitchy mess
Xerokine
Ehh.. I never believe these. Any game I got and played day one that was said to have performance issues, wasn’t as big of an issue as it was made out to be.

Damn I knew it this gonna happen, but I hope they fix the problems by the time I buy it
At this point I’m not even considering a game until its been out a week or two (or longer but by then you can look at user reports).
Put it on the pile with the rest.
Another one. 😭 What’s happening with the gaming industry lately?
Acg said it was fine. There are some dips but perfectly playable.

Good now I can take my time with FF7 Rebirth.
I don’t give af as long as it’s playable
