standart thing. you are have bad pc? wanna play every cool looking game that you can’t play right now. now you have a high-end pc? you just don’t wanna play anything and you sell your pc

Different sort of disappointment for me.
I never had a good PC, or a console up to date, until last July. I mostly watched games I desperately wanted to experience pass me by year after year, I binged the cutscenes of countless titles with the sinking feeling I’d never have a chance to play them, and only in this last year have I been able to FINALLY dive into gaming…….
……….only to realize that the golden age of gaming feels long gone; the games I enjoy the most and find most fulfilling are either ancient 15-20 year old titles (like Halos, or the original Prince of Persia trilogy; basically some of the heavy hitters between 2001-2011) or indie titles that don’t even need a super powerful PC to run. with a few noteworthy exceptions, it just feels like the past 13 years or so have been a conga line of disappointing titles churned out by the numbers with little vision or integrity.

100% agree, I wanted to play just cause 3 and 4, Skyrim and a bunch others.. now I’m sitting on 634 games wondering what the fuck to play lmao.. upgraded to a 500 hz monitor with a 7900 XTX and 7800X3D and just, browsing reddit and watching a YouTube video lmao

When you replay a game you used to play as a kid huddled around split screen co op or passing the controller back and forth but now it just doesn’t seem as fun. Then you realize it wasn’t the game, but the company that made it fun and those people have moved on and nobody has the time to make those kinds of memories again
