I’m not surprised they couldn’t make a full PvE mode work because… Overwatch is itself the remnant of a failed PvE MMO concept. But it blows my mind they couldn’t even make occasional PvE events work. Overwatch 1 had those and they were well-received.

Overwatch 2 was just the transition that was needed in order to change the micro-transaction system to something more profitable for them. You used to be able to get all the skins for free now they cost like $25.

I played like two weeks after the transition from 1 to 2, realized how they had lit the game on fire and dragged out it’s corpse and propped it up as a new game and uninstalled

All they did was delete OW1, slap OW2 on the title screen and then put enough micro transactions in it to make Scrooge McDuck jump for joy as his coffers filled up again
