Incredible driving physics in this game. I miss driving in first person. Hope UBI realizes what they have and rerelease it some day.
People were NOT ready for this masterpiece back then. I absolutely loved this game, I beat the story multiple times and nearly did all the side activities as well before my Xbox 360 died on me.
I would absolutely LOVE a remake of the original game. Update the graphics, make the cities bigger and huge, but keep those action movie car chase physics and especially the director feature where you can record your chase and edit it.
I got it on the Wii and it was significantly different from any other platform no ability to switch. I enjoyed the game nonetheless.
Hear me out: original Driver remake complete with the license test at the beginning, but expand the game/map and give it modern graphics ala Gran Turismo.

What a good game, I have a friend who absolutely hates single player games and he enjoyed the Hell out if it, even asked to borrow it to play through it and beat it (he got to the last level before he had to leave).
Still always think of the tutorial for Driver whenever I think of it, though.
I actually playtested Driver 2 back in the day. Was my first (and only) official playtest at a developper.

This game has one of my favorite racing game stories and great game play
I thankfully grabbed a ps3 copy off ebay a couple years ago, and have a “copy” for PC on a hard drive somewhere
