Looks like the delid went smoothly but for some reason my PC won’t boot consistently (managed to get it to bios and recognised the CPU about 4 times in 2 days). When it will boot, it recognises the CPU but won’t go to Windows. Think I’ve just about had it and I’m gonna buy a new one. Anyone have any ideas or is the CPU just busted completely? Can post other pics. The shit on the two metal parts at the bottom have been cleaned off, was just thermal paste.
Tried:
– loosening and retightening the CPU fan cooler screws and CPU retention brackets
– reseating CPU in 2 different motherboards
– starting with just one 1 RAM stick
– resetting CMOS and swapping the CMOS battery from both motherboards
– jump starting PC with screwdriver and removing front IO panel connectors

I might be wrong but if I’m not mistaken you broke multiple caps that where at the bottom right side so you killed the CPU.
