I have Adams as well (and a black and wallnut setup, quite similar) but it’s important for this type of speakers to be angled towards you (with ideally the same distance between them and your head, creating an equilateral triangle) and have at least +/- 1 meter of free space behind them. Now the bass ports just reflect on that wall and create a mess of waves. Just some good advice!
