They look more than fine. I have used worse looking pads with no impact on cooling.

Please disregard those comments that said you had to replace them. Unless they are completely torn or crumpling you should be fine. They do have a little damage to them that would probably warrant a pad replacement in the future at some point, but there is nothing wrong with using them as they are for the time being.

I suppose the next time you take it a part you could replace the pads. If you do, measure the thickness of them now so you know what to order 🙂

I know it’s not a gpu, but I recently disassembled my entire laptop cooling and didn’t get any worse after leaving old thermal pads

yup, that is fine. these gray ones is much better than the white pads on my FE Titan X .TIM spread and consistency looks good, are you having temperature issue?

Always re-use the original thermal pads if you can, short of being completely ripped appart or missing, these will remain good for virtually ever.

Are you using hwinfo64? Would have been nice to know your temps before you tore it down
my 3080 has a problem with memory so i had to put new pads on but even when it was overheating i didnt have any issues lol
Getting gelid ultimate dropped my temps from 105 to 88c on the memory at max load but again you could be having an entirely seperate issue

They are fine. Also remember if you need to change pads in the future you need to buy correct thickness. For example if you need 1mm thick but you placed 1.5mm pads, then your processor will not make a contact with the heat sink. 0.5mm empty space will cause very quick heating up and crashing.

Yes reuse them, them being squished is okay, you can let it sit if you want some air to get into them and then give it a quick pass by a heat gun to slightly heat it if you feel super self conscious. But you dont need to do any of that, you did an amazing job at keeping then intact.
Ive fully ripped one in half and put it back together then put the cooler back on the gpu and its worked fine, i had to repaste a used gpu

Pads look fine paste looks good. I do see a little corrosion here and there. Clean it off gently with a soft toothbrush and strong iso.

Look absolutely fine to me. Also, if your card doesn’t have gddr6x, not much will change by changing thermal pads. We’re talking 3 degrees difference at most.

I mean they are fine but if want cheaper replacement than thermal pads I’ll suggest get some Upsiren u6 pro or cx h1300 13.5w 20g thermal putty is much easier to apply if you don’t have measurements of your thermal pads.
