If you’re cheating to win a video game, you suck. That’s it no other way around it.
Edit: So if you’re going to cheat, the smartest thing to do is put cheats on several other people. If you’re the only one caught with cheats, it’ll be pretty obvious to figure out who’s cheating. I read the article, and I understand what was happening. Apparently, I’m the only one.
Wow, if this thread is indicative of apex players, I now fully believe someone cheating could have the user name ***I cheat*** and not get caught. I’m not responding anymore, I can feel myself losing brains cells.

I’ve seen some crazy software developers, there is non-zero (although can’t say if more or less than 1%) probability one of them helped with the hack out of revenge.
That is absolutely wild, I bet they wish they had those devs back for this crisis.

This was wild to see live. Genburton is lucky that the hacker also posted stuff in the chat box or there would be people out there saying he’s a cheater who accidentally showed his software. A lot of people would never believe him. Potential career ruining situation for him if it wasn’t for the chat messages.
Still waiting on EA/Respawns initial response. Kind of shocking that they haven’t acknowledged it at all yet. Even an obvious “we’re investigating” type post. This is too big of a deal to have not yet said anything about it imo.
Why would you have an important major tournament online and not on LAN in the first place?
What does the hacker gain from this? Is it a “some men just want to watch the world burn” type of thing?
