I really wanted to play Pokémon again, thinking of buying a new game for my Switch. But then it hit me, I just wanted the old Pokémon games. So, I dug out my old Gameboy, cleaned it up, and found out all the games still work. Perfect timing for my two-week break!

I always feel left out of the nostalgia train since l never had one as a kid. Definitely played the games with emulators though!
My original gameboy pocket I got for Christmas when I was 8 does too. It’s 25 years old, been played to death, but still works awesome.
Do yourself a favor and replace the battery in the game cartridges before you start playing the games.
my SP still works, too,’cept that the battery doen’t really last long anymore – with loading cable its fine, tho
