  1. I’m renting so i didn’t want to do the biggest or most expensive thing, and i didn’t want to paint, and also the acoustics in this room was awful. So most the things are homemade. Total cost for acoustic panels, desk, light, shelves etc. was around $800.

The desk i made myself from a solid wood countertop and a height adjustable frame. Cut it to size, rounded the corners, stained it.

Panels on the wall are acoustic panels to help sound dampening and for looks. The LED strip is a COB strip i put together myself with a Zigbee controller.

The display on the left is custom thing i made that connects to the Spotify API and always shows the song i’m currently playing. It’s made from an old laptop screen and a raspberry pi. The frame is made from a floor molding i cut and stained. It turns on and off automatically by pinging my desktop PC. https://i.imgur.com/SUSiLkL.jpeg
The code for this is on GitHub which is a slightly modified version of a existing setup called Nowify. https://github.com/jdam710/Nowify-Vinyl
It’s a full raspberry pi running Pi OS. It’s fully portable, so it’s basically a laptop and can run off a power bank for about 12 hours. This is the setup on the back, except now it’s tidied up and covered with a nice frame. https://i.imgur.com/JaD2OwH.jpeg
