Does this raise the heat?

  1. If you have fans on the top, whether intake or not, yes

  2. I mean, yeah, but that cuteness is worth heat

Also, the fan on the back should carry most of the heat

I’m more worried about the fur getting inside

  4. Soft_Championship814

Fur is going to slowly bring that pc a new world.

It will to some degree (no pun intended). Mine used to do this too until I installed “anti-cat measures” in the form of zip tie spikes. Worked a treat.

Yes, a research shows that cat is a good heat insulator.

    Source: Trust me bro.

Oh hell no haha. I love my cats, but I’d never allow this. All that hair and dander getting pulled in, the heat retention, and just anything else that could happen from this situation just isn’t worth the cuteness. That’s one expensive cat bed.

My cats aren’t even allowed on my desk or desk chair. I use those spikey mats to keep them off when I’m not in the room.

  8. I am more worried about the water cooler placement. The hoses are supposed to be at the bottom. You don’t want air in the hoses.

I believe that enhances airflow. Btw your gpu stand is hanging on your tempered glass.

I would recommend building a “cat shelf” on your pc (a grid or board the cat can sit on that is at least a few cm above your pc) so it can have the nice warmth from below while the air flow isn’t hindered to much

  11. This is bad 😭 hair in pc and cst cover fresh air getting in

  12. WTF_CAKE

It raises the amount of hair in your computer

  13. alpharoller

It will definitely raise the purrformance 😉

Stop allowing this people. Unless you want to pay more money.

  15. My cat was about to do this, but I trained her that if she wanted to sleep somewhere warm she could do it on my lap instead.

So when I’m playing a game, she would hop on my lap and snoz instead.

We give them food and shelter but still they think they are noble then us. Such a ARISTOCRAT!

  17. theTXBearClaw

If you value that cat, get it off of there.

  18. Hmm, using a cat as a heat sink… has science gone too far?

  19. Clenmila

Be worried about the cat knock it over. PC is to valuable. Plus cat fur aint good.

  20. It’s always these freaking pet post with the fake question as the title, adds nothing to it and you still get your upvotes even if you left the title out.

  21. notsetvin

cat “thanks for my new computer human”

It will affect it if you use a top mounted fan yes, but I’m actually more worried about your case being inadequate for your hardware. Only a 120mm AIO without room to install a bigger one because of the GPU that seems to actually be touching the PSU shroud and being fed only a small amount of air from the like 10% of the bottom front fan that is peeking into the main compartment of the case.

How are your temps idle and under load? NZXT cases are pretty but unless it’s one of their specific airflow focused models, their cooling is sub par to say the least.
