Fun fact: The same studio developed both of these remastered collections. One was well received by players and the other is a total disaster

Another Fun Fact: This is the second time a game called Star Wars Battlefront 2 has had a disastrous launch.

  2. PhasmaFelis

And it’s probably Sweet Baby’s fault, somehow

  3. VexxShadow

Well I heard the star wars game you can’t even play it at all so that’s doesn’t help lol . Such a shame they messed up

  4. Dull-Vermicelli2327

It’s hilarious when the majority of bitching is about the multiplayer not working. Truly shows how no one cares for single player anymore, a damn shame. I could care less if the servers work, just let me experience The Rise of the Empire again, these kids know nothing about that.

Wasn’t the tomb raider one’s lead dev a modder who’d been working on it for about a decade or something?

Hence why it wasn’t complete shit like everything else Aspyr touches.

  6. RockFox2000

One was also directed by a modder of the original games, and the other stole from a modder

No surprise that one’s an online game and one isn’t.

The reviews are a bit harsh for what’s is primarily a network issue.

It’s not a knock your socks off remaster but it’s not a 2/10

Single player experience is fine btw.

Only the multiplayer is really that bad, it’s just REALLY bad. Basically pretend it doesn’t even exist

  9. Saiteki-San

Another fun fact: The only complaint people have of this Star Wars remaster is the multiplayer connectivity. Story is fine.

Nothing but perfection with the BFC playing on my Steam Deck. It has been a fantastic launch for me.

Star wars fans are famously hard to please.

That being said i havnt looked into the remastered stuff. I still have the originals and would rather just sit n play those for free

  12. Darkone539

Starting to think they were just overstretched.

  13. Licensed_Ignorance

Why are so many people acting like multiplayer functionality wasn’t one of, if not the biggest selling point of this collection?

Also the single player is not fine, its full of various issues not present in the original games. Anyone who says otherwise either doesn’t know what they are talking about, or they are huffing copium.

With that being said, there still a chance for this to be fixed up, so I wouldn’t completely write off the Battlefront collection. Also its better than having no classic Battlefront at the end of the day.

One was made in full cooperation with the studio in charge of the franchise using the original source code and an enthusiastic community that was ready and willing to contribute to the campaign for having it made and making it the absolute best.

The other was backed by EA who butchered the original studio that made it and burned all bridges with the community.

I want to try this Tomb Raider Remaster

  16. alkonium

For some reason, Aspyr is really bad with Star Wars. Thankfully the Dark Forces remaster is from Night Dive.

  17. Ki11s0n3

Same Dev, but probably not same teams.

The Star Wars team definitely needs to be fired for how bad they bitches this

  18. summons72

“Total disaster” = some server issues that are already being addressed.

Can we stop with this overdramatic hyperbole. It’s kind of pathetic. Y’all will be drooling in a week when the servers are fixed.

  19. As I understand it the big problem with Battlefront 2 is the multiplayer. The single player is fine, much like the Tomb Raider remasters.

  20. Osiris121

The development of Tomb Rider was led by the man who created Open Lara and other fans of the series.

  21. They also remastered stubbs the zombie but no one talks about that goated game

  22. amypond420

and one game is single player and one game is multiplayer…
