Just seems like a decent deal to me. Looking in the EU and the normal price here is around 1275 euro since January, which includes 21% sales tax in my case.
These Acer Nitro laptops sport high end specs, but the general quality of the laptop tends to be very mediocre. Especially those kinds of hinges are awful and tend to break after a few years.

$1000 is over priced best buy has a 4070 model that goes on sale often $1000.

I wouldn’t say it’s cheap because for starters it’s running hardware that isn’t current gen for pricing that has been available multiple times in the last few months for the current gen model that has a 4070.
It’s also an Acer laptop from their entry level gaming lineup, so the circuitry quality is quite bad. Ask me how I know? I’ve had to perform board repairs on hundreds of Nitro’s over the years and usually it’s for main power rail MOSFETs burning up, fried buck converters, PCHs dying, or PWM controllers going bad. I implore you to always keep Nitro laptops (any electronics really) plugged into a high quality surge protector if you’re not running it off the battery as they have virtually no protections in place on the boards themselves. Their Predator line PCBs are much more robust.

I don’t think it’s that bad. I bought the 2021 G15 Asus with 16gb and a 3070ti for $1399 in mid-2022… this setup is years old now.

because it’s either 1) a scam or 2) still a scam, that uses low quality parts and doesn’t come with half the parts listed. basically it’s just a scam
tru3robin
That’s not what I would call cheap lol
IShowerinSunglasses
Think I paid $800 for that same model in 2018.
Well, it has a 1660 super, but essentially the same model.
The price looks pretty standard for a low end gaming laptop.

It’s overpriced if anything.
