Prey was quite fun

I feel a little bit of hate for what Bethesda did to Human Head. The whole situation was so spiteful and petty.
Prey (2006) was great fun – also had a great soundtrack.
I couldn’t understand why Bethesda would acquire the rights to make a sequel, make a game with the same name, yet not link it to the first game. Why even call their game Prey? New game, new IP, just give it a new name and avoid any confusion.

I’m still mad Bethesda had it cancelled and then used the name to give us a stupid survival horror game.
Tommy in Prey (2006) had an incredible voice actor.
The shout when the player gets abducted really hit the spot.
I mean what we got was one of the best immersive sims of all time. It has fuck all to do with the original Prey but it’s still great

Oh my god, I loved the original Prey. I was so disappointed when they turned it into what we got. 😟
I was gonna say that it all worked out because we got Prey (2017) instead, and it’s one of the greatest immersive sims of all time. But then I remembered that game wasn’t made instead of Prey 2; they were completely unrelated, and Prey 2 had already been cancelled when Bethesda/Zenimax “suggested” that Arkane slap the “Prey” name on their in-progress game.
This used to be one of my favourite games back in the day. Thank you so much for sharing this you legend <3.
Bummed out we got no sequel to either Prey
What we got was better. It’s a criminally slept-on title.
It’s just a shame it wasn’t called Neuroshock, cuz it’s a Bioshock/System Shock style game
