Been working on my setup for a few months now and as much as I like the tech it just seems so boring. What can I do to spice things up and make it nice

Paint the walls, get some art.

I mean honestly a background change would do wonders adding some color

Wall decor. Whether that be art, lights (nanoleaf, govee), floating shelves would be transformative.

Wall panels, sound absorption foam pads. Organization wall (the ikea one that looks like the garage wall that you can mount tools on)

Everything in the room is so sterile. There’s nothing wrong with lots of white, but… it’s also a lot of white (or really light green for the walls).

Two things often overlooked are contrast and texture. The only thing on your desk that isn’t monochrome is the purple cover and yellow pages of your top notebook. For texture, adding some wood-patterned items (picture frames on the desk and/or wall), cup holder, etc., will help. Is there anything that you enjoy outside of computing? Comics? Action figures? Trading cards? You have a record player with plenty of vinyl; why not frame and hang some of them?

Your two vertical items (case, left monitor) and the desk+mat and ultrawide create a sort of boxing-in effect. It’s magnified by the square books, the square desk, etc. Break it up a bit. Plants are recommended for a reason. They will add color and break up the patterns. Add a figurine or sculpure on the case or on the desk. Add a coaster. A bin for your keys/wallet. An EDC handerchief (I prefer Little Paws Hanks like this dope [Retro Star Wars](https://www.littlepawshanks.ca/products/retro) piece, but any brand/pattern will do). Decorative coffee/tea mug, even!

Why do you have a corner computer case and it’s not in the corner?

Add a wall led-stripe and a shelf with some sh1tty gadgets to put on it.
You can easily find them on Temu/Ali for 30€. Low money, great results
