when was the last GTX card? I thought they were all RTX now?

So? GTX hasnt been a thing since 10 series cards

Makes sense. Theses days you want ai for upscaling even on low end anyway, they can just fill the low end with 3000 series.

Not much reason to buy them, a used 1080 or 1070 Ti outperforms them for cheaper.

It’s been 5 years since the last GTX GPU. What did you expect?

What even is this. GTX has been dead since the RTX which had three generations already.

Who would buy a gtx when you could get a rtx

Can we just get a 1780ti for $500 with pure rasterization performance.
Going for 4080 levels of performance without ray tracing. That would be what the customers want, so nVidia wont oblige

Don’t link your dogshit clickbait article.

  10. This was just a matter of time. During Turing years I was pretty bummed about this since the argument at that time was that the price hike of Turing cards was because of the more expensive RT cores, none of the games I played supported it, it absolutely murdered the frame rate because DLSS wasn’t a thing yet and there were no GTX alternatives for a lower price. People who played games with pure rasterization graphics were basically paying for features they’d never use.

Nowadays we’re getting closer to having at least one feature making use of the hardware in any given game, and lower end RTX models are capable enough to make use of it in the games they are being marketed for. It’s a bit sad seeing this branding disappear entirely, but the that sort of performance segment is about to be eaten up by iGPUs in the near future, and everything else can make a strong point for itself driving the various software features.

When do we get RTX 4030 with 2 GB VRAM? I’m waiting with $269 in my hand.

GTX 16 series has been discontinued so this doesn’t surprise me.
