One of the best reasons to switch to Linux 🙂

Maybe that’s what you get for using chrome.

    I got one recently too…

…and I still have that annoying PRE copilot preview thing on my task bar.

At some point we’re all going to have to get special ad-blockers just to block the spam from our operating systems.

well, yeah, i think it’s been obvious that windows is starting to do dumb shit like this.

remember the time they wanted to add advertisements to the file explorer? ad related products popping up on the bottom right of your screen, reinstallation of edge and pinning it to your taskbar / desktop…

there’s always the option to disable things like these to the best of your ability, either by using debloaters, messing with the settings, etcetera etcetera, but i never understood the point of complaining about it. you know there are alternative options in case this gets too annoying for you.

Copilot is currently blocked or banned in the EU last I saw. I hope it stays that way.

Turn off the suggestions in settings and use uBlockOrigin

  7. NippleSauce

I just disable all of that crap so I never have to deal with any pop-ups =D

This is why I’m sticking with Windows 10 until my PC craps out on itself

  9. meerdroovt

Yeah no i’m staying in W10 until the last day, fuck modernism

Aren’t chrome and bing competitors? Chrome is Google. Google isn’t bing…. What I’m so confused 😭🤷‍♀️

    “Easy to switch back”

    *doubt*

Bro uses corpo spyware and says “my” desktop. Lmao.

A bing ad that says to use chrome? Am I missing something?

  14. that’s most likely a pop from edge or Bing Services or you’ve agreed to receive MS promotional news during setup of privacy, I’ve never seen it because systematically disable notifications on any browser I use or installed on my devices (mobile, pc etc.) and on windows 10 I disable Cortana and when coPilot showed up on my win 11 taskbar I instantly disabled and recheck windows privacy settings.

I recommend you to recheck your privacy settings after each major update of windows I don’t trust MS

Oh hey another reason to avoid Windows 11

This is why I hope for better emulation software. Linux Mint or Ubuntu would be perfectly fine if you could install everything with ease just the way you can in Windows. Wine is pretty much a hit and miss and this is the only reason why I’m still using Windows. If Wine gets 50% better I may permanently switch to Linux. Others should too as I see.

Seriously where are you getting all these ads? Im on windows 11 and never had these ads.

  20. Lumb3rCrack

gotta wait until someone comes up with adblocks again lol

  21. Bar50cal

Thank god for the European Union. No adds on Windows over here thankfully!

  22. Remember when Futurama has an episode that they had adverts in their dreams at night? It’s getting closer to reality

  23. Jackpkmn

Have been since windows 10, people mocked others for complaining back then so enjoy the fruits of that complacency.

  24. Googlesignedmeupwhy

“Mac? Linux? No, windows is COMPLETELY supe-“
    “Wanna break from the AIs?”

  25. “Get Windows 11 it’s sooooo good. There’s no reason to stay with windows 10! You’re just being paranoid.”

  26. CulturalSir3576

You signed up for it. Read everything you accept most folks don’t.

Apart from ads in the weather widget… I just don’t get these. Do you guys not comb through the settings and group policy when you first set up your computer?
