  1. They have no interest of fixing mistakes and learning from them, they only go for the money

Giving people exactly what they don’t want after releasing a commercial failure – incredible.

  3. d3vourm3nt

I aim to increase my focus on not buying WB games lol

  4. Sharky_D

Oh no, again? Like others said, they are persisting in this mindset…

Jesus, they are really trying to backwards rationalize themselves into doing the greediest and riskiest option.

    >”Rather than just launching a one-and-done console game, how do we develop a game around, for example, Hogwarts Legacy or Harry Potter, that is a live service, where people can come in and live and work and build and play in that world on an ongoing basis?”

Yeah, an ongoing game people keep giving you more money for will generate greater profits. We know. The lesson you learned apparently was not that Suicide Squad should have been more like Hogwarts, but that you should have ruined Hogwarts with live service elements.

As if the IP was the only reason people buy or ignore games.

If you don’t offer them a quality and appealing experience, you aren’t going to succeed. And your game will likely collapse the second the next big live service game comes along even if you do. Because there are going to be extremely few “Fortnite”s, no matter how many games you pump out. People don’t have the money or time for multiple live services games. This is why they prefer single releases in many cases, they want that experience.

I would have gotten Suicide Squad if it was a good short and quality release. I have no interest in adding another ongoing mediocre “pay to unlock” game to my library.

my favorite free to play games are the ones i already purchased.

  7. NyRAGEous

Doing the same thing and expecting different results…🤔

  8. Snapingbolts

Warner Brothers and tone deaf decisions no one likes. Name a better combo!

  9. GreedAndPride

How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?

  10. Nobody wants this. Recent live service releases have been awful. Suicide Squad is DOA.

  11. Controvertical

Guys who cares? Let them make their mistakes. It’s fun to see ignorance on this level 🙂

  12. 🎶Let’s all laugh at an industry that never learns anything teeheehee🎶

Thing is I don’t see a fail scenario for the big suits specifically. Dream scenario for them. Games are successful, stock goes crazy high and since their bonuses are tied to the stock price, execs make bank. Fuck up the industry and new gens of gamers further but who cares about that. Nightmare scenario. Everything flops, WB games division shuts down, stock becomes worthless, they still award themselves millions before leaving the building. Which is what happened with Nortel for example. So might as well not try/chase trends.

“That didn’t work, let’s try the same thing again.”

They took the completely wrong message from Suicide Squads failure.

    They are fuckin dumb.

Executives at Warner couldn’t be more disconnected from the fanbase or reality.

Releases a SINGLE-PLAYER game that sold over 22 MILLION copies in 2023, releases a live-service game that is buggy, broken, shallow and significantly underperformed in 2024. WB decides to quadruple down on the live-service garbage that underperforms and is dying out.

“How many times do we have to keep teaching you this lesson old man!”

Please for the love of sweet beautiful brown baby Jesus, tell me they gonna bring back MultiVersus in a polished form. Watching Batman get bodied by Bugs Bunny and a Gremlin was what the world needed, but all we did was complain about an OPEN BETA, truly a tragedy.

And it wont be the right way to do them either. Pure Profit methodology.

The people mandating what their game studios produce these days have no grasp of the industry and clueless to the flops and failures.

Too many gamers though are pumping money into these bad games and collectively you need to show them their nonsense has to stop.

with a game getting 3/10 rating but still makes money because they hardly spent any money on it is a win for them.

  23. Exile714

    Double down.

    Sir, you have 22.

    I said double down!

  24. “How many times do we have to teach you a lesson, old man?!”

  25. PewdsMemeLover

C’mon man. Really? Just do what the Batman Arkham games did. Just do what the shadow of Mordor/war games did. The story doesn’t even need to be that good. Just use those combat systems and include the nemesis system. WB is the only company who can use the nemesis system because of their stupid fucking copyright on it. FUCK!!
