AI is a great tool to storyboard in early development and to get a rough idea of a scene before the artist goes in, refines and adds crucial details etc.
Its not great as it means they won’t need many many artists in their team likely just one for each type of art (architectural, character etc)

In an industry where so many devs and insiders have become narcissistic and hostile to the consumers, I’ll take it. It won’t magically make games better, but anything that makes the industry people uncomfortable is good in my view (e.g., industry folks who are out of touch and mad that gamers care more about good games than layoffs; same folks freaking out about Palworld even though it wasn’t made with AI).
AI allowed that one guy to punch above his weight to make Spacebourne 2, so when people say it’s just going to let corporations be lazier, sure it will but if you’re afraid of that then I think you’re afraid of competition.
