Let’s be honest, V has killed way more people for far less. Claire may not have the best reason, but I can’t judge her for it.

You mean because you completely ignored her, right?
You have two choices during the final race: follow Sampson or keep racing. If you keep racing, Claire cuts you off at the Afterlife. If you follow Sampson, you get another choice: let Claire kill him or convince her to stand down. It doesn’t matter which one you choose because both will end with Claire getting the closure that she needs after the death of Dean.
So the only way you can’t get a drink at the Afterlife is to be a selfish arsehole and win a race that nobody cares about whilst simultaneously refusing to help a grieving woman get any form of closure. I’d say you earned it.
Eh… I think Claire is far less of a frustration than Placide. Claire misleads you but not in a way to cause you direct harm. It’s annoying that she couldn’t just cut to the chase, and it makes you want to just stop associating with her, but placide straight up uses and tries to kill you. Twice. He’s not someone who even feels bad about doing it.
No where near the same levels of unlikable.

Claire is ok all in all, i understand being mad at her if you didn’t get the best scenario ending, but looking at it more analytically she still tells you in time the whole killing Sampson business, and you can walk out if you’re not ok with it (personally, given the nature of the races i was ok with killing him within the boundaries of the race, which ties to the next point i’m gonna present) i think part of the frustration comes from the fact that the multiple choices you’re given are pretty misleading, since they don’t reflect what you actually end up saying, or they do that only partially.
I’ll give her props because in the best scenario ending she ends up doing the right choice, recognizes that it was unfair to rope you into this story (she doesn’t pay you, but it’s also true that if she kills sampson she still gives you the car, which i’m pretty sure costs more than half the winnings of the race), apologizes and thanks you for being her voice of reason in that dark moment, if there was no way to convince her then yes i’d be 100% with you, but eh, she ain’t one of the people i’d call bad (ok she was but only for a specific window of time), or insufferable in CP77

But Claire? Claire lied to me, made me do those races for nothing, made me drive her shitty truck through the desert, then cost me an awesome car because I accidentally made a slight mistake in her maze of dialogue. Fuck that bitch.

Claires intent: Use V to get close enough to kill the person that she holds responsible for the death of her husband.

I mean obviously Placide is a dick for his deception and let’s be honest he probably a racist, but Claire really should’ve understood what her and her husband signed up for plus the guy she wants dead wasn’t even that aggressive like them 2 but “boo hoo he killed my husband in self defense even though we totally pushed him to do so within agreeably terms, help me kill him.”
