How much you can milk this one time fix I don’t know but twice is already enough
I got the same screwdriver set!
You love milking this one don’t you.
Thanks! This post was very helpful. It convinced me that I should just pay the $185 for Valve to fix it.
Wow, people here are actual cunts. I’m sure folks will find this information useful. Regardless of how many times you’ve posted it.
I respect you for doing this guide. I think that people underestimate how many people aren’t so tech savvy and these guides may help them immensely and save them a lot of money.
Props to you for taking the time and energy to do it.
i dont even own a steamdeck but thanks anyway for this, its people like you who help way more people to understand things they previously had no clue about
This is also how you can reprogram bios chips on motherboard and GPU, which is something I had to do to save my laptop GPU before, just need to check the bios chip name and specs to make sure it uses same voltage as your adapter.
Fun fact : It’s the exact same procedure to fix a bricked motherboard
Ordering my OLED this week and saving this post just in case thanks OP
Don’t even own a Steam deck, but I’m grateful for people like you, who take their time and teach others how to do stuff.
Truly, thank you.
Thank you for freely sharing this info.
Don’t have a steam deck but thank you for your service.
I am a strong supporter of the right to repair.
*your
Bro got the jumper cables on the steam deck 😂
Here’s how to do it for $13 + have a computer, spend 2 hours disassembling, and these other 30 coding steps
Yeah 185 isn’t that bad tbh.
It would probably cost me two steam decks to buy the equipment needed to fix it for $13.
