the most ambitious project jrpg ever consisted 5 planned project (story) +1 anime (cmiw), it was planned to be ff7 but rejected cause it was too dark and too convoluted than ff7 story, its unfinished but it is a good game with great soundtrack and story imagine if the disk 2 were finished.. one can only hope that this masterpiece can be redone just like ff7 ;(

Plenty of jrpgs that deserve some love and to be brought foward like this and grandia, tales of mana, chronotrigger and cross(so much potential) but i doubt we ever see these. And if we do it will be changed and not the masterpeices of there time they are now.

Holy shit, i’ve never seen a game where the wheels came off so bad. Last 3rd of the game, instead of exploring the world and letting the plot advance, literally has the characters sitting on a stool in a black void monologuing about the events that are happening, then you get to play the pivotal event/boss fight, and it moves to the next.

With the OG team being rushed through disc 2 and not being able to finish the game they wanted to make I would probably rather they didn’t unless they got that team to do it, which unless they leave their current studio or get contracted by SE probably won’t happen.
I’d much rather have them remaster/remake Xenosaga (though one could argue the same thing happened with that series as it was I believe supposed to be 8 games, then only 6, and finally cut down to 3).

Are the following Xeno games similar to this one with how everyone got a new Mech by the end of the game? Gave me a real Gundam Wing Vibe. I havent played any of the “newer” games, Only Xeno Gears.
