Ryzen 7 5800X briefly hitting 92C at stock settings with a 240mm AIO. However, performance is still above average and HWInfo is saying there is no thermal throttling, all-core clock speeds also remained just below 4.5Ghz. Average temp is sitting around 87C while running the multicore test. Normal?

Wouldn’t call that normal. Do you have PBO enabled and did you tweak it manually?
You should probably look in to curve optimizer and undervolting guides.
thats high. my 5800x3d only hits like 73c in cinebench. and the 3d runs hotter than the regular x. try using curve optimizer. start with like a negative 20 all core offset
I was also hitting 90+ with my 240aio at full load.
Pbo tweaks have dropped my max temps to 80 which is still high for me personally as it feels like a heater right next to me but i get an all core boost of 4.85ghz
That is high. My 5900x barely goes over 80C under high load now that I have fan curves properly adjusted. This is with core offset at -12 for all cores and a 280mm AIO (in a shitty airflow NZXT case).
I had mine actually hit 95C at one point right after I setup the AIO and I cut a Cinnebench test short because of that, but it turned out that it just didn’t have enough heatsink paste and good flat contact with the CPU.
All I have for case cooling is two decent 120mm fans, keeping liquid temp in the mid 30’s at idle.
5800X’s do typically run hot, but that’s a little high, imo. I top out at 76c in Cinebench R20 multicore (PBO set at -24 all core except for 1 at -6 that is constantly causes trouble if set lower; EDC 130) using a 360mm AIO.
That is pretty high. What AIO are you using, what pump speed, and how does the paste spread look?
