Johnny Mnemonic
The broad strokes for the Cyberpunk 2077 story are great. But when you get right down to the presentation and scenes… it’s lacking.
The disaster happens. We freak out. We look for 2 people that might know w t f is going on. We kidnap someone who might be able to help. And then we have the climax.
On paper… that’s great and a decent 2 hour movie. In practice, the above paragraph is spread out over dozens of hours of gameplay. It starts to lose its meaning and urgency.

Johnny Mnemonic has a solid story, and decent pacing for a 90-minute movie. The conclusion is a bit too “happily ever after” but I’m fine with that.

Ok so doesn’t Johnny Neumonic have like a single gig of data in his head? I remember watching it recently, and while fun, its central conceit makes zero sense. Like just use a thumb drive.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who remembered that movie at launch. They even had a monowire!
