I’m almost excited to see all the brand new ways Game Freak come up with to fumble this one

If this follows the same release pattern as Legends Arceus, this will be released in early 2025 and Gen 10 will be released late in the year. I’m hoping not so Legends Z gets more development focus and care but given what Game Freak’s schedule has been like, that’s probably how it’s going to go.

Pokemon Z is genuinely the last thing I would have expected
Epic_DVB
Ngl I was expecting a Unova game but I’m glad we’re getting Kalos instead. Gen 6 was definitely the most underdeveloped of the gens as it never even got an updated version and the story had so much more potential.

My only hope for this game is that it has the same catch mechanics as Legends:Arceus

If you told me last year that in 2025 we’d get Pokémon Z AND GTA 6, I wouldn’t have believed you. Now look at us.

While I’m unhappy that Black and White got skipped, I’m EXTREMELY happy that Mega Evolution is returning.

Z-A? what is the A for?

So curious about it having zero in game footage this time around. Maybe they really did not want to get roasted so early like the did with the last Legends. Maybe this means its a launch title for a new switch (seriously doubt it), o well it will play just fine on my Odin 2 most likely.
throwacc_21
All these fancy cutscene just so Gamefreak can release a shitty looking game that run on 5fps, only for $70

As a gen 6 apologist I am very pleased with this news

Wish they would have shown us some of the actual game instead of the artsy stuff

Cant wait to play it with 10 FPS.

We haven’t seen enough to judge it yet, but it is encouraging to see Gamefreak slowing their production cycle. It’s usually a 1-2 year cycle for mainline games. Hopefully they create a more polished game than the previous entry.

The trailer shows absolutely zero what it is about.

I hope that in response to Palworld’s success, they finally added guns to this game. /s

I’m guessing it’s like Legends: Arceus BUT Zygarde themed, as there is a mission on Pokemon go named “From A to Zygarde”

2025 release, Switch 2 has been said to be delayed to 2025, yeah this is totally gonna be a simultaneous release like BotW was
easyasdan
Wouldnt surprise me if this is used as a Switch 2 launch title

I enjoyed Legends Arceus, albeit it was pretty obvious that it was ultra rushed (a lot of the environments were so hastily stitched together it hurt). Still, a Legends game for the Kalos setting? Unexpected, but I am all for it. Kalos as a region is criminally underrated and X&Y received a lot of unfounded hatred back in the day.
Do we know anything about the details of the setting? I understood the hub is Lumiose City undergoing restoration/redesign of sorts so people and pokemon can live in the city together, but is it a sequel to the XY games in the timeline or is this back in the past like Legends Arceus was?
Because the trailer was a very weird mix of old drawings and very futuristic graphic-style for Lumiose itself.

So it would be cool if this was basically pokemon Z with all the legends elements to it. I believe that will make to what i believe to be the perfect pokemon game. Catch and explore. Also would be cool if it has gyms. That way you can kind of lean into the do you want to be a trainer or researcher narrative they opened the door to in Scarlet en Violet.
A man can dream.

Cautiously curious. I’m one of the weirdos who preferred Scarlet/Violet to Legends Arceus, but Arceus had a lot of good points that could be expanded on. X/Y one of my least favorite gens but there’s some real potential for a return.
