Don’t yank it out next time by the cord.

Something sexy about an unsheathed HDMI cable.

  3. I didn’t need to know that such a problem could actually occur.

You forgot to take off the wrapper for the lovely contacts, that’s all. Thankfully, your laptop had a handy dandy cover removal tool

Exact same thing happened to a heavily bent hdmi cable i had, it was smushed agains the wall and tv for years and the metal tip just bent like 45°

  6. Damm you might need to use some pliers the get that out

Either it has a click lock mech you didn’t press down when pulling cable, or just cheap cable. Should be easy enough to pull the HDMI connector part out. Use pliers if needed.

My dumb friend tried to use my HDMI cable once and didn’t realize it had a clip that needed to be pressed down. Same thing happened. Just pull it out with a pair of pliers. You’re down a cable but it’ll be fine

  9. Happened to me at least 3 times on good and branded cables from Nintendo switch, ps5 and from the monitor. Now I squeeze the connector hard right at the very edge next to the iron part before removing it. Lesson learned.
