I think 4 is still my favorite. I finished 5 and it was OK, and I quit 6 about half-way through because it just isn’t fun.

Games stopped doing graphical leaps long ago. A lot of games nowadays look worse than 10 year old games and only some look better

I watch my gf play Far Cry 5 on the PS4 and I just cannot believe how utterly gorgeous that game is. The fact it’s on a bog standard PS4 too

Weve reached a point in videogames where art direction is 10x more important than technology, imo. And weve even reached that point for a while.
There are some timeless games that still look incredible today due to good art direction.
And theres plenty of garbage chaff thats made with high end unreal technology and lighting. Its like those screenshots that show, say, ”What if Warcraft was made in Unreal???” and sure, theres a lot of flashy technology, physics and lighting but it looks absolutely atrocious
