glass is a terrible material to use where torsional forces are expected

I can’t tell too clearly how it broke. Did the glass fall out of place and hit the table? It just looks like it suddenly exploded to me.

Is your shop a closet?
Double_A_92
I cant tell what is happening. It looks like the glass is suddenly spawning in mid air and exploding ._.

…Why aren’t we using akin to Table glass? Or laminated glass like in automotives? Cost?

The shards are nicely polished though.

This is why I still prefer the traditional case, looks like a sleeper too!

It’s just the twist stress on the chassis, how you are holding it. It’s not fucking rocket science and it sure as shit isn’t a ghost or out of the blue, it’s a twist in the frame from the force of gravity and the position of your hands
innocentlilgirl
you should just carpet the entire store!

And this is why i allways go after cases with metal grates and acrilic instead of glass.

Looks like someone forgot to put the screws back in and he even sticks his foot out try try and catch the panel before it hits the ground.

I’m still thoroughly impressed that I haven’t done this yet. It’s absolutely something that I would do.

I have seen glass shatter for no apparent reason ONCE in my 50+ years of seeing things. Sunroof on my buddies Volkswagen Fox went nuclear in the parking lot at school. We were leaving, a group of us had clumped up near his car and were talking about something school/athletics related and hear a shrieking/keening noise from his car. Look over and the sunroof is bowing outwards, like a bubble. It made that agonizing noise for a few more seconds and then burst outwards.
Car was not running, mild fall day, nobody within 10 feet of the car. VW replaced it with no comment. This was way before cell phones and ubiquitous video coverage, I would love to have footage of it. The glass deformed way past what I though glass could handle.
No idea what happened. The joke was the car itself was cursed. It suffered several Unfortunate Events while being parked, no user error at all. A tree finally fell on it and ended its cursed existence.

Rookie made an oopsie, Customer understood, wants us to get him a replacement panel.
Damn he just carrying like it was a cardboard box
At least you have video evidence you banged it, so now peeps can’t pretend like it just happened out of thin air for no reason.
Aw man the foot twitch. Dude was panicking. Hope the boss wasn’t too hard on the guy.
I love that nobody in that video has appropriate shoes for their job.
Needs to wipe harder.
Hate to see it happen. Props to him for not losing his shit.
I’ll reset the counter….hmm it was already at zero days snice last side panel break.
SHE’S ALL SET SIR!
Tile floor does its destruction once again.
What actually happened? I’m kinda new to this, can someone explain
Bad day,let me guess a Monday?lol
Pretty sure I saw this video before.
Too much pressure on both sides and a knee bump.
So much PCMR. Ending the week with a broken TG.

I still have yet to see a reason to have a tempered glass panel.
Imagine not being able to move something that is already delicate internally, but now the protective box is a rat trap about to spring.
Go on, down vote me all you want.
this is why i always remove my glass before moving my pcs

I will never buy a PC case with tempered glass
