The coolest part about swapping power supplies is how the connectors look the same but are often wired differently. You have to rip out all the wiring and replace it with whatever came with your power supply or good bye hard drive.

Because it is, just need to remember triangle on Front I/O connectors is +(If there is no + printed on it) and to read MoBo manual, mostly stresfull thing is place CPU on LGA socket

My “RESET SW” really small cable unplugged just as I had finished a 1h30 power supply swap.
I will never plug it back in, screw that.

No offense to pc enthusiasts but pc building is really easy nowadays, even finding compatible parts is not a problem anymore

Personally, I think it is more accurate to say you are “assembling” a PC rather than saying “building”. It is like getting a dinner table kit from IKEA. You just assemble it by putting it together. I wouldn’t say I built such a table. If you are simply buying off-the-shelf parts that are made to go together, assembly seems like the most correct description.
I don’t, however, lose sleep over it. Call it what you like.

The case I bought actually uses a standard F_PANEL connector instead of separate pins. Unlucky for me, my prebuilt’s motherboard didn’t have this connector

Took me maybe 10 hours my first time. But the 2nd time it was only a little over an hour.
Was a lot of freaking out over where the damn cables go. Also spent 30 minutes making sure that yes, I am supposed to push in the ram and gpu that hard, no it won’t break.

You see posts like this and think “how cripplingly spoilt are the kids of today when plugging in an atx power socket or plugging in headers for LEDs is the high point of challenge in their life!”. Try using jumpers to configure your comm ports, track a IRQ conflict or troubleshoot an IDE config issue before the Internet existed

Nah the worst part is putting the motherboard in the case, dropped screws and the inability to get the correct angle all over the place.

Real men turn on their PC using a screwdriver to short the power pins. None of this power button on the motherboard.
Plugging in the CPU EPS plugs are more annoying to me that the main 24pin PSU plug.
I hate how most boards have it up by the top corner, and with the CPU cooler and fans mounted up there in a case it becomes such a pain. Oddly enough, a cheap Chinese X99 board I got recently has the CPU EPS plugs right next to the 24 pin, which was odd to see but nice to work with.

I absolutely hate the 24-pin connector with a fucking passion so great, it could destroy universes; but not as intense as HELLDIVERS 2’s massive stability issues that has caused my AMD drivers to crash twice, and my PC to shut off once.
Who the FUCK invented that thing? It is the scariest connector to pull out of your motherboard, because you have to wiggle it back and forth and side to side for it to even consider sliding out.
The front panel pins… I can still live with. But that 24-pin connector… it scares me.
