Loved these games too… I believe they’re bringing a Metro VR game soon, which will be awesome if they keep the same level of detail and atmosphere.

I like how metro and fallout are essentially answering the question of “how will the nuclear apocalypse cause survivors to separate into weird factions as they attempt to rebuild society” but from opposite sides of the cold war, it’s fascinating. I have metro exodus somewhere, I need to play it someday.

The combat music is probably the best I’ve heard in any game, matches the grimy atmosphere so well.

Can’t wait for the vr game.

FYI it was a book series before the game.

Ranger mode hardcore on metro 2033. All peacefully no unnecessary deaths to get the secret ending. It was FUCKING hard. Loved the reward.

I literally just bought the trilogy for under $10 on Xbox. Currently playing through the first one again, haven’t played the second one yet.

You clearly didn’t read the books 🙃

Agreed. Loved this series

I thought the first 2 Metro’s were amazing games, the third one was a bit wtf prologue story and I only made it to the first stop before I stopped playing, I might try it again at some stage but I’m a bit meh

The ending of Exodus is probably my favorite part of the series. While the music is great throughout, the climax is exceptionally phenomenal!

Well I got exodus and had to stop playing it cause I read it’s worth to play the 2previius ones before but no money atm so had to stop. Unless I’ll pirate them on my laptop

I can’t get into 2033. The ammo system makes no sense to me.
I’m running out constantly. I switch to the other type of ammo and then quickly run out of that. I’m currently stuck in the bit where the sewer door opens because so much shit flies out that I can’t possibly kill it all before I run out.
What am I doing wrong?

Love this games and the books just. My only dislike is the really weird pseudo silent protagonist decision

Should’ve posted this “shoutout” in a book sub, seeing as the the games are based on the “well thought out trilogy” by author Dmitry Glukhovsky.

Eh, 3rd game was kinda meh, to be honest. Not concept-wise, but the open world really hurt it. In my opinion. Just didn’t really feel like Metro. Too much pointless running around, looting and crafting.

It… wasn’t. As someone who’ve read books, the first game was a disaster. Though I appreciate when they started to tell their original story instead of adapting the books.

How can you milk your game’s fans if you don’t make the final game in your trilogy a cash grab?
