I feel like there is still more potential for zombie games, last of us is just the entry level they can still make a lot of story related games out of zombies
I still believe State of Decay 2 is one of the best zombie games ever made. A bigger budget and I had the potential to be the perfect zombie game. Hoping State of Decay 3 is that game.
Rebuild 3 EVEN EXISTS??
Should try 7 days to die – it has not only a horde system, but building, crafting, resource gathering, survival, etc + lots of mods and what not.
Also some of the nicest building designs i’ve seen in a game – every building is fully realized, so if you see a shed you can go into the shed, if you see a garage it’s a garage, if you see a house etc you can go in there and there’s furniture and what not. very immersive.
On the max level difficulty it’s a different game altogether. Really good.
I can recommend Project Zomboid in your life, a game so bleak and lonely I had to stop playing it for a while.
