Making some Frankenstein builds with my spare parts and decided to throw one of the most demanding games to date at this old 1650 Super just for shits and giggles.
Yes, it’s at lowest settings. Yes, it’s at 1080p with FSR set to balanced. No, I’m not recommending you go buy a 1650 Super for AW2 lol. But I’m just kinda shocked you can squeeze a 60fps experience out of this card at all honestly lol. Color me impressed.

That GPU and the 580x were/are such good value. Also AW2 is just nicely optimized, it can do stable 30, 40 if you don’t mind occasional dips on the steam deck. What a time to be alive!

Game runs fairly well for how good it looks as long as you have mesh shaders

Meanwhile, Starfield won’t run on anything under two years old but it’s our fault because it’s a next gen game
People on this sub have an inflated idea of what’s required to run games, in part because of a handful of badly optimized AAA titles (which they haven’t played) and because they just don’t know what they’re talking about. I mean, a 1650 Super is considerably faster than whatever is in the Steam Deck, and they’re still bringing out games for the Switch and PS4, which barely qualify as potatoes at this point.
